SENIOR UX ARCHITECT
StayWell (Acquired by InternetBrands/WebMD) / 2018 - 2020 / Portland, OR - Remote
Note: In 2020, StayWell was affected by the Covid19 pandemic and a company-wide acquisition. StayWell discontinued a significant portion of its services and programs, including the product team I was working with and all the projects I had in progress.
I worked with the product team to develop and support a wellness platform based on behavior science and research. My role included design, architecture, strategy, user journey maps, wire-framing, flowcharts, prototypes, and user testing. I worked with a team of five UX designers. I facilitated design sprints on my team, managed Jira, and contributed to product documentation and usability reports on confluence.
Wellness Champion for the Portland Office (Volunteered for 3 years: 2018-2020)
At StayWell, I helped create a culture of health at the workplace by serving as a Wellness Champion for the “Bean” employee wellness program. My role included organizing events, leading sessions, managing an annual budget, and ordering supplies and services.
Culture Advancement Committee Member (2019-2020)
I worked with an internal team to enhance collaboration, build trust, improve communication and create events and actions that fostered employee connection.
SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Provata Health (Acquired by StayWell) / 2015 - 2018 / Portland, Oregon
At Provata, I led the in-house design department and represented UX on the product team. I worked alongside the engineering team to develop a proprietary wellness platform. I designed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile. My role included leading design sprints and managing projects and contractors. My work also included designing wellness initiative marketing, copywriting, multimedia, photo editing, illustration, infographics, email campaigns, educational materials, newsletters, and annual reports.
SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
AngelVision Technologies / 2013 - 2014 / Tigard, Oregon
At AngelVision, I worked with a team creating promotional marketing videos. My role included concept sketching, illustration, character design, infographics, and storyboard layouts. I worked with a team of storyboard designers, animators, writers, illustrators, 3D designers, and project managers. I created assets for multimedia productions and prepped files for animation.
PROJECT MANAGER
DarkWater Studios (Acquired by AngelVision Technologies) / 2012 - 2013 / Beaverton, Oregon
I managed a team of four programmers and six designers (included storyboard artists, flash animators, and 3D designers/animators) and over 40 web and interactive media projects at a given time. I built strong relationships with numerous clients and agency partners. I worked closely with clients to gather feedback, manage project timelines, and deliver final assets. In three years, I increased our production quality and quality control, which led to Darkwater’s acquisition. I played a crucial part in coordinating the creative department and production deadlines through this transition.
OWNER & DESIGNER
Lolly-tots / 2010 - 2011 / Portland, Oregon
I launched Lolly-tots with the vision of creating fun products that were high quality, created locally, and brought joy to the world. I designed a line of apparel that included animal hats, t-shirts, and accessories. I designed the e-commerce website, logo, product branding, marketing materials, and displays. I conceptualized designs and translated them into instructions for large-scale production. I put together a team to produce the products to be made locally and support the local economy and vendors. I sourced materials, tracked sales and profit.

NW Media / 2008 - 2010
At NW Media I designed layouts for CD/DVD packaging, books, posters, postcards, brochures, business cards, and various marketing materials. At Leslie Jordan, I assisted in managing the art department for an athletic apparel manufacturing company. The company printed a variety of fabrics from Tyvek to nylon and cotton. My role included interfacing with clients on the concept and design and performing daily, hands-on quality control for screen printing, litho printing, and embroidery projects. Part of my work included designing the company's marketing materials, brochures, flyers, and trade-show display graphics. I was introduced to a wide array of operational design processes and learned how to manage people and products effectively.
